Social studies teacher Eugene Simonet (Kevin Spacey) gives his class an assignment: look at the world around you and fix what you don't like. One student comes up with an idea: #1 it is something that really helps people; #2 something they can't do it by themselves; and #3 do it for them, then do it for three other people. Love this film, very emotional though. Agree that it's not a comedy as such, but there are a few light and amusing moments. Kevin Spacey and Helen Hunt were excellent in it, as was the boy....wasnt he in The Sixth Sense. ?
This is probably one of the most beautiful films I have ever watched and what a range of emotions to go through. Thought provoking and amazing acting. This is a perfect film for its genre and will remain in my favourites along with K-PAX.
Why this is in the comedy section I do not know. This is a powerful film, with a fantastic cast, about making our world a better place. I use thiys film as basis for all my work, and where I can always show it to the young. Inspiring, thought provoking, and life changing. #PayItForward #BeMore
