I gave this film 5 stars because it's one that really tugs on the heat strings. Very emotional because it makes you step back and realize what life should be about and really how we should all be willing to step outside of ourselves and help our fellow man. It's just sad that it took a child to do what we adults should be teaching them. This movie really makes you think! :-)

I saw this when it premiered, but I fail to comprehend how it could be classified as a "comedy" given the tragic ending. The movie inspired a movement that still exists, at least in my town.

Kevin Spacey is spectacular in his role. Helen Hunt's role is absolutely moving. The boy... There are no words to describe his performance. If this movie doesn't move you to do something, nothing will! A must own! One of my favorites!!
