If you're going to drink yourself to death, first make a friend like Robert Valley. I'd buy an audiotape just for the narration as he tells Techno's story from godlike youth to utter ruin, but the images are like a graphic novel brought to life--and death. There's a final heart-breaker in the credits.

The use of shadows set the tone really well. The voice-over was somewhat cliché, but it didn't harm the film. I thought the story was engaging and well-told. I liked the soundtrack too.
