Christina Ricci (Speed Racer) stars as Penelope, a lonely heiress who has spent her entire life trying to break a strange family curse that left her with the nose of a pig. It's a great movie that speaks to everyone working to accept their flaws. It is silly and makes light, or lighter, of hard issues. A movie that is silly but knows it and uses it to prove a point. While it felt rushed at times, still a good movie.

I really liked the movie. I had never heard of it before I watched it. It was surprisingly good, which is always the best way to find a movie, when you have no expectations. Endearing, sweet, etc.

Used to watch this with my kids all the time when they were five/six years old. It was a transitional time in my life and that was one of many movies I'd watch regularly with the kids.
