人稱「戴克」的克恩縣副警長喬伊戴科恩 (丹素華盛頓飾) 獲派往洛杉磯執勤，處理本應迅速完成的搜證工作，卻捲入了追尋連環殺手的漩渦之中，而市內還因而瀰漫著濃濃的恐懼氣氛！帶隊調查的洛杉磯警務處警探詹姆巴克斯特 (雷米馬利克飾) 十分欣賞戴克的偵探直覺，私底下找到他幫忙。然而，隨著調查逐漸深入，戴克不為人知的往事竟隱隱浮出水面，當中埋藏的驚天秘密，比案件本身更駭人聽聞！

been honest it is not a great movie to watch except if you miss the Master of Hollywood the legend and only one Mr.Denzel W.,that's ok now with grey hair or not still the most powerful real american actor ever born, they have use a powerful actor for a cheap movie ,something like a very fast professional driver on a slow ford festiva, instead of Ferrari '' why they do that,i think i know just to piss me off

It bored the arse off me , what a dull affair that had the potential to be so much more
