Trouble-prone teen Percy Jackson is about to be kicked out of school -- but that's the least of his problems. The gods of Mount Olympus and assorted monsters seem to have walked out of the pages of Percy's Greek mythology texts and into his life -- and they're not happy. Zeus' lightning bolt has been stolen, and Percy is the prime suspect. Now, Percy and his friends must return Zeus' stolen property and unravel a mystery more powerful than the gods themselves.

Disappointed that we (living in Belgium) were able to select, rent and pay for a movie (targeted at children), that doesn't have Dutch subtitles. We had to stop the playback after 1 minute (playback started -> no refund), and head over to Apple iTunes to rent (pay a second time) the same movie with the Dutch subtitles. And yes, the list of available subtitles is mentioned in the details, but I'm still disappointed.

ik how people say that this isnt like the book and ik that but you have to remember that special effects and moster animations COST ALOT! like they can get to over a million pretty fast so just remember that. great movie! nice actors too =) and all the animations they added into this movie it would have been not very cheap movie! so give it some credit like gosh.

I would have loved the movie if I had not read the book first, I mean what's up with changing the storyline? Anyway it was a good attempt but next time someone wants to change a a scene in a book, I advise that you ask the author..I'm sure they knew what they knew what they where doing when writing the books.Good actors not so great script
