Trouble-prone teen Percy Jackson is about to be kicked out of school -- but that's the least of his problems. The gods of Mount Olympus and assorted monsters seem to have walked out of the pages of Percy's Greek mythology texts and into his life -- and they're not happy. Zeus' lightning bolt has been stolen, and Percy is the prime suspect. Now, Percy and his friends must return Zeus' stolen property and unravel a mystery more powerful than the gods themselves.

Considering its not a long book they could have done better with this film. I have no problem when films cut out bits from books but not characters and then completely change the events to make it almost a different story completely. When this came out I was interested to see how well they do it. The only other film further from the book would be eragon. They have the excuse of it being a long book. This does not. If you haven't read the books I'm sure its a great film despite the terrible acting. If you have read the books I wouldn't watch it. Just read the book again. Your imagination is better than this could ever be.

I feel like the film was ok, but the film was too different from the book, changing most of the events, including the part where Percy faces off with a monster wielding a giant dog in the elavator, and the part where Percy and Annabeth head into the river of love ride at an old water park to fetch Ares' shield and even the scene where Ares and Percy battle down on the beach, replacing that scene with a battle between Luke and Percy. I was quite annoyed, but it is still quite a good movie.

Its a good movie,i watched ithe first 30 minutes of it at school,and do far,im impressed.though the scenes in the movie isn't on the book,which is strange,ii could watch the full movie,but have no money,i can only watch it at school and i love it probably the best movie EVER!! Though some scenes have fighting (in the capture the flag scene) i don't reccommed it to young people or people who don't like fighting but ya! Awesome movie! 😅
