Facts are the shadow of the truth. It is the sincerity that each major character shows in living out their lives. It is the unspoken cradling a baby, swaying of the trees, the response of the growing vegetables, figuring out the rabbit was trapped inside the box and ultimately how the townsfolk, the government, George's love is cought in their own emotional boxes; morse code was used to transmit secret information; but the overall code braking goes to the writer, which was well acted out.

Travolta's best performance ever. This movie truly captures the intensity of how life and people really are. Although George Malley treats everyone with kindness and respect and is a major factor in his community, (being the only mechanic) and one little thing happens and everyone then starts judging him as if he did them wrong. Their opinions change instantly because they can't understand what he saw or what is dealing with and are quick to point fingers and judge.

Travolta completely nails this one. Even with heavyweights like Duvall, Whitaker, and Sedgrwick, John is the strong heart and center of a beautifully written, strongly directed and beautifully filmed movie. Forget Tony Menero and his Staying Alive, this pic is about staying meaningful, and shows that you can have fun and integrity in a movie.
