What attracted me to renting this film was the photography. When Joe meets with Piggy for the first time was truly wonderful. This same high standard of photography continues throughout the film and makes the film watchable despite it's one big drawback. And it's one big drawback is the script. It's so leaden I was worried my computer would crush my desk sending shards of wood splintering in all directions (itself a bit of a leaden bit of writing) ... no, it really was bad. It was written and directed by Kieron Hawkes proving that you can't be good at everything. There were some good lines though and, surprisingly, the script did improve towards the end of the film and introduced some good ideas ... so brace yourself for the wooden writing and persevere. I reckon Kieron Hawkes has got a good film career ahead of him.

A proper real life film,,,without the Hollywood happy ending bullshit !!
