About this movie

The Grammy-nominated 1988 concert, restored, re-edited and remixed from the original film reels and master tapes. Filmed at the Nassau Coliseum (Long Island, NY) and featuring David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright at their incendiary best, this engrossing and uplifting event uses an innovative mix of lighting and staging, balancing the then-new material and classic Pink Floyd songs.

Even with the gratuitous and tacky audience reaction shots, I was not remotely prepared for how great this version of the film was going to be. Literally captivated for the entire runtime. Thankful that the work was revisited and recreated into this stunningly perfect performance. As much as Waters contributed to the group as a whole, it's this performance with the three remaining members actually smiling on stage, running through masterpiece after masterpiece, that makes for (in my opinion) the best Pink Floyd concert film that I've ever seen. Maybe someday we will see the release of "The Wall" negatives from Nassau that have never been printed, but until then this is as good as it's going to get. An amazing experience and worth every penny to watch.

Greatest band of ALL TIME!!! With or without Roger this music will never get old. I'm just regretful that I couldn't be there live to see it.

A Pink Floyd experience with no Roger waters surely does not deserve my time. So sad!
