From their early beginnings in the affluent University City of Cambridge, Pink Floyd rose, Phoenix-like, to create music that was both challenging and unique. With the departure of founding member Syd Barrett, Pink Floyd’s 1970s reincarnation produced such classic albums as “Darkside of the Moon” and “Wish You Were Here” before “The Wall” took them storming into the 1980s. Yet troubles behind the scenes resulted in the loss of Roger Walters and after legal battles over the Pink Floyd name, the band was rose again to achieve even greater success.
