About this movie

Thrust into an adventure, a down-on-his luck Captain Jack Sparrow finds the winds of ill fortune blowing even more strongly when a crew of deadly ghost pirates led by an old rival, the terrifying Captain Salazar, escape from the Devil's Triangle, determined to kill every pirate at sea...including him. His only hope of survival lies in finding the legendary Trident of Poseidon, a powerful artifact that gives its possessor total control of the seas.

If this were not part of the series of would be lower. Some poor actor/ess choices and it's never the same when the originals (Will and Elizabeth) go so they had some big shoes to fill. Both main newbies couldn't act. And they tried for too hard to make Jack funny at the start. A disappointment for the PoTC franchise. Wouldn't buy unless I felt it necessary to have the collection.

I love the pirates of the Caribbean series but this one is awful. Same exact storyline as previous, awful baddie and it's as if Johnny depp didn't play Jack sparrow previously and is doing it for the first time very badly. Don't pay for this, it's bad enough if you watch it for free.

A Pirates of the Caribbean sequel... Really, that's about it. Its enjoyable but like most sequels a deminishing curve. Glad I saw it, will not be begging to see it again. Still, it did at least wrap up the sequence with a happy ending (unless you count the worrying last scene that you have to sit through five minutes if credits to catch!).
