Arriving at her new college, Beca (Anna Kendrick) finds herself not right for any clique but somehow is muscled into one that she never would have picked on her own: alongside mean girls, sweet girls and weird girls whose only thing in common is how good they sound when they sing together. When Beca leads this a cappella singing group out of their traditional arrangements and perfect harmonies into all-new mash-ups, they fight to climb their way to the top of college music competitions.

Ratings and reviews

Despite having Rebel Wilson in it, I was told this wasn't going to be very good so I was pleasantly surprised. It was quite funny and Anna Kendrick was great as always, but the upright leader storyline drags a bit too long and I felt they could have taken it further with other characters and jokes. Also some of the music wasn't as good as I hoped for, the guys' choreography was great though.

Love this movie, lots of great songs used, great characters (except Fat Amy, I'm a Tasmanian, Fat Amy just fails at being funny or Tasmanian) and a good mix of romance in it, get out the popcorn and your silly hat and enjoy! (PS the sequel sucks balls)

Saw in cinemas before all the hype started. Was pleasantly surprised. Great cast and fun plot.
