One of those rare franchises where the film's keep getting better. "War" is hands down the best movie I've seen all year. These films have an emotional pull that most Hollywood blockbusters lack. The animated characters are so compelling and blend in so seamlessly that you forget that you are looking at effects work. Most importantly, this trilogy respects the originals and maintains continuity with the classic storyline.

Honestly didn't watch any of them until recently. Had no expectations but the trailers for War looked good so thought I would give them a try. I was blown away by how amazing this trilogy is. I never expected to love them the way I have and wish I saw them in theaters. Rise in particular has a special place in my heart for some reason and could watch it countless times. Dawn was very good as well, though to me not as good as Rise. War though was also amazing and was an amazing finale to the trilogy, and pretty intense honestly. Would highly recommended them to anyone, even if you haven't considered them like I hadn't once.

A great trilogy to keep you wanting more. The soles in this film, adjusted by CGI were very life like. You could feel empathy for them being creatures not of their own making. I found myself rooting for the apes the entire series. Wasn't really impressed with the second one but wasn't disappointed either. It seems each movie was darker than the last.
