After befriending a family that has just moved in next door, Emily Valentine is starting to realize that these new neighbours are hiding a deadly secret. At first focusing her attention on the violent tendencies of 10-year-old Billy, Emily soon discovers that Billy's mother Tamara is equally unstable and capable of anything.
