Meer oor hierdie fliek

Claire's (Alicia Witt) life goes on a downward spiral right after graduation. Her boyfriend breaks up with her, her piano teacher (Harvey Fierstein) is fed up with her lack of concentration and her apartment is condemned after an earthquake. With no place to go, she must move back in with her dysfunctional family, an eclectic group of relatives. A story telling matriarch (Marlo Thomas), spirit-seeing patriarch (Elliot Gould), picture-perfect sister (Molly Hagan) and a meddling aunt (Estelle Harris). After several weeks of moping at home, Claire's best friends, Sabrina (Brooke Langton) and Arthur (Johnny Galecki), convince her that partying is the best solution for a broken heart. And in spite of trying to play it cool like "Mona Lisa", Claire meets Eddie (Ivan Sergei), a self-proclaimed heir to a fish market, who sweeps her off her feet. Life, however, takes an unusual twist when a few uncanny family and friends secrets are revealed.

Let me first start by saying I watched this movie after a significant breakup. I really related to the feeling of everything going wrong. The ending is hopeful and a little predictable in 2016, but how it gets there and the insight it shares has stayed with me for years. But I'm biased by its timing in my life. Watch it after a breakup or show it to a girl who's going through one.

So since the preview isn't available in the USA... It only gets one star.
