Film „Bajecznie Bogaci Azjaci” opowiada historię pochodzącej z Nowego Jorku Rachel Chu (Constance Wu), która postanawia pojechać ze swoim długoletnim chłopakiem, Nickiem Youngiem (Henry Golding), na ślub jego najlepszego przyjaciela w Singapurze. Rachel jest podekscytowana, że po raz pierwszy zobaczy Azję, ale też denerwuje się przed spotkaniem z rodziną Nicka. Niespodziewanie dowiaduje się, że Nick zataił kilka szczegółów ze swojego życia. Okazuje się, że jest nie tylko potomkiem jednej z najbogatszych rodzin w kraju, ale też jednym z najbardziej pożądanych kawalerów. Rachel jako jego dziewczyna staje się obiektem intryg zazdrosnych panien z towarzystwa. Co gorsza, temu związkowi nie sprzyja też matka Nicka (Michelle Yeoh). Wkrótce staje się jasne, że choć miłości nie da się kupić za pieniądze, to mogą one wszystko mocno skomplikować.

Oceny i recenzje

I notice tons of 5 star and 1 star reviews so I'm going to be different and say 2 and a half stars. The script was for the most part what I'd call "trite", plus overall it wasn't that funny. However there was good acting by Michelle Yeoh, Constance and Awkwafina. Too much overacting by the girl who played Araminta. The only time I laughed out loud was when Awkwafina told Rachel that Eleanor would probably offer $omething in exchange for willfully disappearing.

I was excited...until 3/4 of the movie ended up being in FRENCH. I understand they're suppose to be 'french-asian' but putting 3/4 of the movie in french doesnt capture my attention because my eyes (as an English speaker) are on the subtitles. NOT the movie.

Was a rly good movie. Honestly the books were better and it wasn't very original or a masterpiece (unlike the books) but it is worth watching. Ppl say it speaks out against racism but it rly doesn't except for the first scene which actually sent the wrong message about racism. While I love the intent the only reason the mean hotel manager started respecting them was because they were rich. That's not the message ppl should be sending out. Ppl should respect others because they r PEOPLE!
