One of the delights of never having procreated - and probably never will - is I don't have to concern myself with the umpteen 'universes' they immerse themselves in. As a Pokémon fan I was slightly underwhelmed on first watch, but the next time I saw it this film had started to grow on me and now I love it, as said previously some stunning visuals at times with a feel of Bladerunner about it even down to the score in parts the Pokémon are simply adorable this movie should be regarded as a bench mark for this type of CGI. Ok it’s not the most amazing story ever, and I found it really predictable I’d actually guessed the twist (but it is very twisty) As for Ryan Reynolds he totally hits it out the park as usual, do you have to like Pokémon to like this film? No not really, but that said you’ll get much more out of it if you already are a fan, give it a go it may surprise you !

Oh dear. Great visuals but these days you expect children's movies to be interesting for adults too (Shrek, Toy Story, etc). It felt like a CBBC kids show with Hollywood CGI. Don't bother.
