Pokkiri (English: Rogue) is a 2007 Tamil action-thriller film directed by Prabhu Deva. Tamizh (Vijay) is ruthless, fearless hit man in Chennai underworld. He swiftly blends into the mafia to the dislike of other members in the gang. He comes across an Aerobic teacher, Shruthi (Asin) and goes head over heels for her. He rubs the local mafia and is inducted in the crime syndicate of international don Ali Bhai (Prakash Raj). The true identity of police officer Satyamoorthy IPS is also revealed which gives a thrilling twist to the story. An explosive climax in the making as City Police Commissioner's (Napolean) daughter is kidnapped and to rescue her is none other than Vijay. CBFC Rating UA. Certificate Number CIL/2/013007-CHEN

Here it stops short of falling flat compared to the Telugu version but meant for vijay fans.

This movie does justice in all departments- story, cast, action, romance, comedy and music. A must watch for Vijay and Asin fans.
