I saw this in theaters on a whim and I really enjoyed it. It's a movie about making a movie! It's animated well and the characters are very easy to like. The most rewarding part of this movie is that it gives us more insight into the process of making a movie. Don't expect something like, Your Name, but just a chill happy movie, that's great for everyone to watch.

This movie was INCREDIBLE! It was very educational, coming from a person who wants to produce films one day... but it really is a beautiful piece of art. The entire thing had me laughing because of how relateable it was. The entire time I was like, "I can't believe they made a LITERAL ANIME about ME." I've been waiting to see this film for almost a year, and it was worth the wait (even tho i wished that i haven't of waited this long, it was still good.) Well, I hope you enjoyed my review!!

I've waited an entire year to watch this film since it released on June 4th, 2021. I really liked the film. The animation, done by CLAP, was fun, lively, and often well animated. The plot takes a behind the scenes look at the film industry, with Gene planning on directing a big film, and while it does sound generic at first, I did find myself enjoying the story a ton, and whether you watch the dubbed (by GKIDS) version or subbed version, it's one of my favorite animated films of the year.
