Gregory Peck leads a 135-man unit on the attack of the Chinese-held Pork Chop Hill. When reinforcements finally arrive, only 25 of Peck's men survive. Well known as one of the best depictions of life in the crossfire, with an uncanny "you are there" feeling.

This is a triumph for Gregory Peck who is ably supported by a myriad of great actors. The tense struggles that dominated the battle ground around the 38th parallel in the final days of the conflict are well represented in this superior war film! Well worth watching!

Should never be colorized - needs the b&w film noir quality. Ultra realistic, gritty, War Movie, All star cast.

Great movie and a great lead actor...We should have nuked Mao.
