It has great visuals and a good storyline, about half of the main group are complete idiots who couldn't die fast enough. The mom is a complete idiot who should have been left to die with her son. They're in a sinking ship and every 5 minutes the kid magically appears far away from the rest of the group in some dangerous situation. I swear Helen Keller could keep better track of her son than she can. Seriously people if u r in a shtf situation don't take the ppl who'll get you killed with you.

I loved the original: I cared about the fate of each character and was truly sad as each person died. This remake had not one single likeable character and I even wanted the idiot child to die... It takes effort to write a an easily hate-able child character. This film was a spit in the eye to the original classic. Save your money and rent The Poseidon Adventure instead.
