Major Dutch Schaefer (Arnold Schwarzenegger) is the leader of a military rescue unit looking for allies captured by guerrillas in the Latin American jungle. At first it seems like any other mission: Schaefer and his team of seasoned combat veterans spot a guerilla camp, destroy it, and find the men they were sent to rescue executed. But when Schaefer attempts to lead his unit out, with a captured guerrilla in tow, something horrifying and inexplicable begins to happen: One by one the men are killed by a mysterious adversary - a Predator from another world.

Ratings and reviews

This is Arnold at his best! Hammy acting, great action set, and of course, classic Arnold one-liners. Need I say more? Oh, and Carl Weathers and Jessie Ventura are equally just as good in this movie. Definitely, one for the ages that doesn't wear down and has aged very well. Since it's all in the jungle, you can't really pin-point when this took place. This is definitely Die Hard, but in the jungle. Doesn't hurt that John McTiernan, the director of Die Hard, Die Hard With a Vengeance, and The Hunt For Red October, directed this excellent action movie.

i just want to start of by saying the acting by arnold and evreyone else was amazing it didnt feel like they were robots it felt like they were real pepole the sequences of thriller is also very well done it feels like action and horror combined toghether perfectly the only downside to the movie that i can see is the way the blood looks it looks a bit fake but the kills are some of the most remeberable scenes in my childhood over all a great movie

Absolutely awesome. Arnold Swartznegger did phenomenal. I liked how this movie showed how smart Dutches character was. I liked how the predator wasted no time hunting all of the marines. Plus, everybody's death was cool and gruesome. This is one of those movies that gets a high 8. Movies can also go to an 8 at a certain point. But this movie automatically deserved it. So awesome! Hope I can see it again, soon.
