A zombie outbreak has fallen upon the land in this reimagining of Jane Austen’s classic tale of the tangled relationships between lovers from different social classes in 19th century England. Slightly disappointed.. I like zombie movies and I like Jane Austen. This film had some great visuals, a decent cast - but it seemed they were more focussed in just getting through their lines than developing the characters and the relationship between Jane & Darcy. But hey, maybe there's no time for that when you're dealing with the undead? The zombies were great and I liked what they did with Wickams storyline.

WHO'S STUPID, IDIOTIC, NOT TO MENTION, BANAL IDEA WAS THIS?!! First you have Abraham Lincoln fighting various forms of monsters in a couple of movies, now this? People, stop destroying memories of people, long since gone, or good literature that some people would still like to appreciate.

Having read the book quite some time a go, I was quite pleased with what was presented. This was one of several books taking literature and giving it a modern twist. Hopefully it will aid in ensuring future generations take the time to read the originals but even if they do not will still receive a insight, however strange, into a by-gone era. A pleasing movie, as long as one remembers it is a movie and doesn't judge it from its counter part.
