Wesley, a law school flame out, returns to his hometown to aid in a friend's trial. Under the guise that he's become a big city lawyer, Wesley falls into the trial, hiding the fact that he isn’t the beacon of success that everyone thinks he is. The return home brings him face to face with relics of his old life, including Jen, the girl he spurned years ago, who now wants nothing to do with him.
