Look, I've seen this more than once, but each time, it's flaws are more obvious. Won't deny it's beautiful, but it tries to shred all the fascinating mystery behind the first Alien movie (Dark Horse comics at least did it very well in the 1990s) and utterly fails to deliver emotional and practical logic. In dire need of another script pass. E.g. Don't make the guys with the map, who were even highlighted as being the guys WITH a map, be the very idiots who get totally lost, for a start...

Great movie, great story. Scott is a master of SciFi, I loved this movie and its sequel Alien covenant. Difficult to do a better job.

Not a typical horror film, but still really intense and a great precursor to Alien
