About this movie

Heralded as the best indie sci-fi since 'Moon', 'Prospect' is smart, entertaining and a treat for the eyes. Rivalling Ridley Scott and Christopher Nolan's work, it will leave you breathless with its other-worldly splendour anchored by an emotional story. A teenage girl and her father travel to a remote alien moon, aiming to strike it rich. They've secured a contract to harvest elusive gems hidden in the depths of the moon's toxic forest. But there are others roving the wilderness and the job quickly devolves into a fight to survive. Forced to contend not only with the forest's other ruthless inhabitants, but with her own father's judgement, the girl must carve her own path to escape. Prospect stars Pedro Pascal (Games of Thrones and lead in the upcoming Star Wars TV series The Mandalorian), Sophie Thatcher and Jay Duplass.

Superlative practical and digital special effects, an engaging premise and an excellent cast (Pablo Pascal (GoT, Triple Frontier) and Sophie Thatcher) are, at times, ruined by muffled, unintelligible sound in places. As a first, feature-length production from Dust (a YouTube channel dedicated to showcasing high-quality indie scifi) it's production values are up there with the big Hollywood hitters such as Christopher Nolan. Grab some popcorn and enjoy this film.

"Rivalling Ridley Scott and Christopher Nolan's work"- it says in the description. Absolutely not. It's an okay film, but everything about it is just not good enough. It feels like everybody involved had too much drink the night before and spent the time making this a bit hungover and off their game. Nothing to hate about it, but nothing to like either.

Unwatchable, no subtitles and the audio dialog is SO muffled then entire time. Video quality wasn't great either, no idea if the film itself is actually any good :/
