After being ambushed on the job and left for dead, Santa Barbara Police Chief Carlton Lassiter (Omundson) has begun to see impossible things around his recovery clinic, prompting Shawn (Rodriguez) and Gus (Hill) to return to Santa Barbara to help. But the duo finds themselves unwelcome in their old city as they try to secretly crack a case that could have relationship-altering consequences.
