Everyone's favorite leche-loving, swashbuckling, fear-defying feline, Puss in Boots, returns in a new adventure from the Shrek universe as the daring outlaw discovers that his passion for peril and disregard for safety have taken their toll. Puss has burned through eight of his nine lives, though he lost count along the way. Getting those lives back will send Puss in Boots into the Black Forest to find the mythical Wishing Star on his grandest quest yet. With only one life left, Puss will have to humble himself and ask for help from his former partner and nemesis: Kitty Softpaws. In their journey they are joined by a chatty and cheerful mutt named Perro. Together, our trio of heroes will need to stay one step ahead of fairy tale realm's craftiest crooks including Goldilocks Locks and the Three Bears.

I saw this movie in theaters in December 2022 and my mind was blown by the animation that resembles a vibrant watercolor painting that came to life. The amazing voice acting gave me laughs and chills down my spine while the writing was clever and mature enough for adults to appreciate and find funny yet emotionally relatable, the pacing was perfect, and the main theme song of the hero is an earworm that I find myself humming randomly. 11/10 movie. I’ve seen this 9 times in theaters as of 1/29/23

I've always believed that really good all-ages animation will always satisfy every age. Boot 2 kids can see their familiar fairy tales, cute characters and wonderful adventure stories. Adults can see reflections on life, the pursuit of fame, the fear of death, and so on. Four groups of characters, together in search of the story of the wishing star, the road shows a variety of adventures through changing maps, many fight scenes use drawn frames, and comic book elements, the style is very similar

This movie also had me so emotional, no spoilers, but it's the way the creators handle their characters, with such sincerity and heart. Finally, the action, and the plot itself, it was go go go from the get go, i haven't seen a more well paced film all year, i think that is my favourite part of the dilm (Avatar 2 could take some notes) Overall, it was truly such a blast, so fun, heartfelt, FUNNY, genuine, with a great message at its core.
