Plagued by alcoholism and domestic violence, Putuparri must stay strong and put his historic culture first if he is to secure the future of Kurtal for his people.

I was so glad to come across this encouraging story of real life indigenous fighting to regain their land once more. As usual it takes so much time and effort to do so, but I was much relieved that the land was regained. So interesting to hear the family story too. I would recommend watching this film to see people overcoming obstacles for a spiritual and cultural cause, to regain Kurtal in this case, and for Tom Putuparri's people.
