Kaali lives a middle class lifestyle with his sister Seeta. He works at a small train station nearby with Vinay, an Engineer. Seeta’s friend Mangala is deeply in love with Kaali, but he doesn’t reciprocate her feelings initially but soon has a change of heart and in due course of time they two get married. However, their marital bliss comes to an end when Kaali meets with an accident and loses a leg. Kaali holds Vinay responsible for the mishap. When Kaali learns that Vinay is in love with his sister, Seeta, he is furious.
