Rani(Kangana Ranaut) is a 24 year old Punjabi Girl, living in Rajouri Garden, Delhi. She is from a very conservative family and her brother escorts her everywhere to ensure she is safe. Two days before her marriage, her fiance Vijay (Raj Kummar Rao) meets her in a local cafe to tell her that he no longer wants to marry her. He explains that he is changed and she would not fit into his new lifestyle. Rani is shocked and shut herself into room for a day. She decides to take control of her life and plans to go alone on her pre-booked honeymoon to visit Paris, her favorite place and Vijay's favorite place Amsterdam. After, initially hesitating, her parents agree to the trip and Rani takes off. In Paris, she meets Vijaylaxmi who becomes her friend and confident and shows her around Paris. The two have a series of adventures. Eventually the time comes for her to bid an emotional farewell to Vijayalaxmi and board the train of Amsterdam. However, when she arrives in Amsterdam, she finds to her horror that her hostel room is booked with three guys (Taka, Timmy and Oleksander). Soon, the four become good friends and explore the city. She learns more about her friends' backgrounds and begins to understand how different life can be for people in other parts of the world. (CBFC U/A DIL/2/46/2014-MUM)

Though some viewers may point out that "Queen" s idea is taken from sridevis "English vinglish ", this idea has been taken to a whole new dimension in queen and the latter has been successful in creating a visual experience which is etched into our hearts . Kangana ranaut makes every scene perfect and moves the film forward with a charm and naivety which she can be proud of . The true feelings of a woman which craves for freedom but is chained up by the customs here is beautifully portrayed throughout .

Everything is just extraordinary about this movie. Story, Direction, dialogs, acting, cinematography and everything else. Each character stands out in its own beauty. I just cant forget the way raani describes a typical conservative Indian girl also her outfits are outstanding portraying just a middle class Indian girl. All in all this movie is a masterclass and world class itself. Must watch for everyone.

Flawless is the word. Anything less than it would be a disgrace. Kudos to Kangana. Good job. Lisa fares well as a fun loving friend. Great story-line. Great music. Everything is just great. I have no other words. "Hungama ho gaya" will get you grooving no matter what ur mood is. The scene right after it will leave you in Kangana mode after the movie too. Must watch. Get ur family along too.
