Based on the classic novel by Henry Sienkiewicz, it features stupendous battle scenes. Starring Robert Taylor ("Ivanhoe"), and Oscar-winners Deborah Kerr ("The King and I," "From Here to Eternity") and Peter Ustinov ("Spartacus"), who was nominated along with Leo Genn ("Henry V") for Best Supporting Actor. This movie is in color not black andvwhite it is rated PG not R. It's a good educational and historically and biblically based as well as good to watch with the whole family. A Roman soldier falls in love with a Christian, and converts to Christianity.

Rome burns the Christian martyr's are fed to lions and crucified and burned alive then the people turn against Nero the true criminal and he kills himself the Coward peter Ustinov did a great job but I loved Debra karr and Robert Taylor . in history Nero burned Rome in ad 64 and died in AD 68 4 years later not at the end of Quo Vadis also another scene I love is when Nero reads the letter petronious sends him
