This movie was _highly anticipated_ for me as its prequel is my favourite movie. However, I was quickly disappointed. Expecting the follow on from the story in 'Chronicles' we are given what can only be described as a redo of Pitch Black. After waiting so long for this, I was really let down. The fact I love this character and the universe it is set in is the reason I gave it 4 stars.

Misogynistic and self-indulgent with patchy SFX. Not entirely awful as a standalone B grade effort if it hadn't been a ripoff of a much better movie.

Did any other person feel that this was basically a rewrite of the first movie, Pitch black? I love both movies but I did feel a tiny bit let down. I thought this would be like number 2 but even more epic. Having the movie play out on another hell world was super cool but so super near to the first. I will be watching the forth if it ever happens.
