Disappointing sequel. A confusing metaphor that for 80% of the movie is about a girl trapped in a relationship with a controlling guy, that at the end becomes about a father having to let his daughter grow up. At no point is Ralph fatherly to Vanellope throughout the film. No classic or retro game references, Felix and Calhoun are almost entirely absent from the film... Just so disappointing. Instead of being maybe about the arcade closing and classic games getting to love on through the internet, this feels like the Emoji Movie done by Disney. :-(

I love how the movie showed that there are people that don't understand when to back off or let go. The million ralph metaphor explains the feeling of being overwhelmed and suffocated by and overbearing relationship. Unfortunately, it highlights their limited understanding as well. "there is no law that best friends have to have the same dream". Now that is a great quote. Its amazing how Ralph metions that shes been brainwashed only to keep her the were she was and in wreck it ralph part one showed how she was brainwashed and treated horribly in her own game. Overall, I think this movie gives a lot of useful points.

I liked the movie's characters and theme but the thing that dissapointed me was that Penelope left for another game, the next movie needs to change the fact that she left. Its not normal for us fans who saw the first movie to not see Penelope in the next movie. That was such a bad choice to do also it shows that ralph is a bad person controlling a child, but the child is the wrong one. 3 stars for that but its a ok movie is not the best but i know Disney tried their best so disney bring the child
