From Executive Producers who brought you Quarantine, comes the movie that inspired the terror. A beautiful TV reporter (Manuela Velasco, Law of Desire) and her cameraman are doing a routine interview at a local fire station when an emergency call comes in. Accompanying the firefighters to a nearby apartment, the news team begins recording the bloodcurdling screams coming from inside an elderly woman's unit. After authorities seal off the building to contain the threat, the news crew, firefighters and residents are trapped to face a lethal terror inside. Calificaciones y opiniones

The original REC is very good. This version has one of the worst dubbing jobs I've ever encountered. It's worse than 1970s kung fu movies. The voice-over is completely distracting because the tone and the emotions do not match at all. Do yourself a favor and watch it with sub-titles or on some other service.

Rec is a very average film. It has some highlights, but it has more minor flaws that bring it down from being a good movie to just an ok one. Things like having all the important bits actually being in frame and (relatively) steady throughout all scenes are great, but other things like having the camera angle be set up for "the perfect jumpscare" happen too frequently. The big climactic ending was a very big disappointment, as the whole movie had been much slower and more subtle up to that point and.

It's a really great movie but I don't understand why Google is charging $12.99 for it when you can buy it on Vudu for $4.99 and it'll link over to Google if you're using movies anywhere. Plus I'm really disappointed that they only have it in English dub and I can't switch it back to hearing it in proper Spanish. Glad I only spent $4.99 Five stars for the movie itself. Minus two stars because of locked in English dub and higher price on Google Play
