This was absolutely terrible. There was close to no research done into the era when it came to weapons. (one scene a destroyer is shot at by one of the planes and explodes...) They have the machine guns going off like 500lb bombs. Completely ridiculous, I tried to ignore the little things because it's a movie and supposed to be fun. But they pushed the suspension of disbelief far far far beyond what is reasonable. Even for someone who is not interested in that time period it's obvious that nothing here makes sense.

The action scenes were phenomenal. The dialog was well written. Generally speaking, a very good movie. It is very sad that electrical and aeronautical engineers (and they were) from a great university such as Tuskegee, we're treated with such disregard. They were officer's and gentleman. But that was just the way it was in 1944.The past cannot be changed.

BLACKS BROUGHT BACK HOME - THEIR WAR SUCCESS, AND CHANGED RACISM ATTITUDES, PAVING THE WAY FOR RACIAL IMPROVEMENTS LATER. P.S. P51's were slower than the few jets but i read some were shot down.
