The incompetently told story, the flat characters, the sheer predictability - they are all a part of what makes this a poor investment of both time and money. Before viewing this film I wasn't even aware that dog fight scenes could get boring but by gum they pull it off. If you want a film with interminable flight scenes go for Battle of Britain instead and avoid this one.

If you are into your WW2 films then this will disappoint! Very exaggerated, unrealistic dog fights with that typical American "Yeehaaaa Woohoo" over acting! Was painful to watch.

A typical George Lucas film lots of action and God save the USA. Action sequences were good but a bit plastic if you know what I mean!
