Angel Sanchez (Forest Whitaker) has lost everything following the tragic death of his mother. Seemingly intent on finding inner peace, Sanchez seeks out Tommy Carter (Anthony Mackie), a successful author and spiritual advisor who agrees to help him rebuild his shattered life. But when Sanchez reveals his true intentions, Carter must do everything in his power to stay alive in this terrifying psychological thriller.

Anthony Mackie stars as a self-help guru with a troubled past who offers his life-coaching services to a grieving man named Angel (Forest Whitaker). Angel, who's obsessed with the death of his mother, takes the idea of karma and retribution to some ugly, ugly places. This didn't make a ripple in theaters, despite the talented leading men. Might wanna pass on this grisly flick.

I can't even believe this went forth with production. The story was crazy and it got even crazier as the movie went on! And to let your ex husband have custody of the kid when he has a known mental issue? I don't think so! Save your money and don't rent or buy this. Wait until it comes in TV for your viewing pleasure.

This movie was so bad it made me laugh out loud. It combined the absurdity of a Lifetime movie with an all-black cast. I selected this movie because it starred Forest Whittaker, Sanaa Latham and Anthony Mackie, who I've come to associate with quality films. However, the movie was a disappointment on all levels. The script was bad. The casting, which included non-Hispanics portraying Hispanic characters was weak. The acting was an embarrassment. Save yourself the money and rent something else.
