Red Crow Mi'gMaq reservation, 1976 - at the mercy of 'Popper', the sadistic Indian agent. At 15, Aila is selling dope to pay her 'truancy tax'. But when Aila's money is stolen her only options are to run or fight... and Mi'gMaq don't run.

Extremely powerful movie. Heart wrenching portrayal of Canada's treatment of their Native Canadian Indian population. One of my absolute favorite movies! In my opinion, it is a definite must see.
