Dans ce film original, électrisant et plein de prestations musicales, Streep incarne Ricki Rendazzo, une guitariste qui en poursuivant son rêve de devenir une rock star n’a cessé de multiplier les erreurs. De retour chez elle, Ricki a la chance de se racheter et de réparer ses fautes, tandis qu’elle brave la tempête qui fait rage dans sa famille.

When I saw the previews for this movie I thought to myself why would Meryl make this movie (of course it was probably to help her daughters career). After watching it I am again reminded to dont question her choice in movies because unlike deniro, Pacino and a string of other A-list oldies, you know going in that the film is going to be interesting, orginal and actually hold my attention. Meryl is a true Actor of films. She does medieval times as good as 80's hair bands.

Shocking that a Grade A actress like Streep would choose such a slow and predictable movie. I wanted to love it, but that never happened. Plus her whiney brat grown kids (in this movie) ALL needed an @ss whoopin'. Not worth anything higher than a 1$ rental.

Wish I could've put 3.5. I liked the movie, interesting story and I LOVE Streep as much as the next person. I really wanted to watch this movie because of the type of character she was playing. She was amazing as always. I feel like this movie was more of a fun "gig" for her and her family to get into. All in all, I enjoyed it, but it's not one of those movies you watch more than once.
