About this movie

The entire cast of the animated hit comedy Rio returns—along with a new flock of all-star voice talent, including Bruno Mars, Kristen Chenoweth and more—in this high-flying sequel for the whole family. The party continues when Jewel (Anne Hathaway), Blu (Jesse Eisenberg) and their three kids take a walk on the wild side and embark on a colorful, comical, music-filled journey through the Amazon!

Ratings and reviews

The story has improved greatly, and so have the characters. But still, I cant stand Jesse Eisenberg. They should have just found a different actor, because he doesn't work in the movie. However, George Lopez and Anne Hathaway, along with the Amazon storyline and the crazy white bird out for revenge with a taste for Shakespeare were the movies saving graces. The frog was very weird though. So not great, but an improvement from the first.

The first one was more interesting than this one, the movie is titled "Rio 2" when 80% of the movie takes place on the Amazon. Still, a decent movie. The movie is getting more boring when you watch it 10 times. 🌟🌟🌟 for animation, the blank stars are for the story. I don't know if purchasing the Deluxe Edition Blu-ray was worth it, but at least I have something.

Rio 2 is a very cute movie. It has a lot of funny moments and the whole "protective dad is protective" thing, which I appreciate more than most people. This movie is definitely for kids though. It doesn't have as much depth or care like the first one did. And the final act was a little dumb, considering how some characters were thrown in. But It was very entertaining and funny to watch though. 4/5
