RIO, I LOVE YOU, de derde film in de ‘Cities of Love’ reeks (Paris Je T’aime, New York, I Love You), is een viering van de liefde in de Braziliaanse hoofdstad. Vanuit het oogpunt van elf gerenommeerde regisseurs zien we uiteenlopende verhalen over dit universele onderwerp in de stad die bekend staat om zijn schoonheid en sensualiteit. This is not a polished, easy to watch movie. It's like taking a stroll through different bairros of Rio and sharing intimate moments in the lives of the people you normally walk past. Thought-provoking, from the mundane to the sublime. Beautifully filmed, well acted. / The scene with the sand sculptor made me laugh; The scene with the boxer and his wife made me want to cry, and reexamine my preconceptions. All scenes surprise in one way or another.
