In the highlands of Scotland in the 1700s, Rob Roy tries to lead his small town to a better future, by borrowing money from the local nobility to buy cattle to herd to market. When the money is stolen, Rob is forced into a Robin Hood lifestyle to defend his family and honour.

A laugh riot from start to finish. One of the best comedies of the year. And ladies, almost none of the men are wearing underware under their skirts ;)

This covers the history of the Scottish revolt against English tyranny that occurred shortly after William Wallace (Brave Heart) was executed. The beautiful cinematography of the gorgeous Scottish hills in the 18th Century. Well acted from a talented cast.

Not only is this movie a classic, but it features one of the greatest cinematic sword fights of all time. Definitely a must-watch.
