In the highlands of Scotland in the 1700s, Rob Roy tries to lead his small town to a better future, by borrowing money from the local nobility to buy cattle to herd to market. When the money is stolen, Rob is forced into a Robin Hood lifestyle to defend his family and honour.

One of Neeson's better performances before he bows to his Hollyweird masters and started churning out one propaganda piece after another!

This covers the history of the Scottish revolt against English tyranny that occurred shortly after William Wallace (Brave Heart) was executed. The beautiful cinematography of the gorgeous Scottish hills in the 18th Century. Well acted from a talented cast.

Am Scottish and proud of it, I have rated and got this epic movie to watch with my Daughter 11 years old my youngest. It's a Movie night honour. 👍
