Rob Zombie's first Halloween is overly vulgar (the dialogue feels like it was written by an edgy 12 yo) and robs Michael of the mystique he had in the original Halloween, but I still find it enjoyable none the less. Halloween 2 is trash. It turns Laurie & Dr. Loomis into the most unlikable a**holes you could possibly imagine. Honestly, no one in this movie is likable (excluding Brad Dourif). Michael makes awful grunting noises as he kills, now. There are awful cut scenes with Michael's mother.

Zombie's H2 is nowhere near as good as the reboot. Although the movie itself is decent, IMO, Zombie took way too many liberties with Michael Myers. Part of the 'allure' of Michael is that we don't know what he looks like, nor do we know what he sounds like. In H2, you will see and hear Michael Myers. Zombie took away the unhuman shroud of Michael Myers, and turned him into your average serial killer with anger problems. Zombie fell short with H2. Sad.his Halloween reboot was fanflippingtastic

I think that the Rob Zombie Halloween movies do deserve to be appreciated more. Yeah. They may be a little lackluster and ridiculous, but they do succeed on a few things. The look of Michael Myers, The brutal kills, and I think the ending was pretty cool. However. I think the second one is my favorite because they really made Michael really scary. However. I hated Dr. Loomis in this movie because he was being a huge greedy jerk. But overall. I do like the 2nd one. That's just my opinion.
