Tom Cruise, Russell Brand, Alec Baldwin, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Paul Giamatti and Bryan Cranston join songstress sensation Mary J. Blige and Dancing with the Stars' Julianne Hough in this film adaptation of the smash-hit Broadway musical that does with 80s rock anthems what Mamma Mia did with Abba tunes. Directed and choreographed by Hairspray's Adam Shankman, this hard-rocking musical tells the story of small-town girl Sherrie (Hough) and city boy Drew (newcomer Diego Boneta) who meet on the Sunset Strip while pursuing their Hollywood dreams. Their rock 'n' roll romance is told through the heart-pounding hits of Def Leppard, Journey, Foreigner, Bon Jovi, Joan Jett, REO Speedwagon, Pat Benatar amongst other power ballads.

This movie is hilarious. Tom Cruise is 50 years old and is the star of the show. A few parts are overly-cheesy to the point of "meh", but the Catherine-Zeta Jones, Brian Cranston, Alec Baldwin, and the great TOM CRUISE parts are absolutely EPIC. Cruise even sang his own songs!! Google it! "Tom Cruise sang for Rock of Ages". This movie is great, and well worth a buy.

Everytime I watch this movie it only gets better. If you like rock music then you certainly need to watch this movie. You get to experience all the best songs throughout the movie!
