They say you can never escape a mother’s love, but for Chloe (newcomer Kiera Allen), that’s not a comfort — it’s a threat. There’s something unnatural, even ominous about the relationship between Chloe and her mom, Diane. Diane has raised her daughter in total isolation, controlling every move she’s made since birth. But now, as Chloe prepares to leave for college, she discovers incredible secrets that she’s only beginning to grasp.

good movie, but why the movie was not about a women who lost her baby during labor an exchange the baby in the hospital. she than isolate the child just to keep her to herself.....

I thought it was great. Yes, it's a bit silly when the mom goes way over the top (but that's also why you are watching this type of movie) but otherwise I thought it was well played by all the actors and the storyline wasn't too predictable.

Entertaining movie, but not a 'good' movie. Genres were a bit crossed, and some frightening scenes were a bit old school.
