I saw this theatrically during the summer of 1999. This is still the most entertaining art film I have ever seen. Yes, it's short on emotional depth, but it's large on technique, inventiveness and energy. A simple story plays out 3 different ways. The film is best described as an occasionally thought provoking, high energy, clever musing about fate and circumstance. The human characters of Manni and Lola are engaging, but this is strongly a director's film. Holds up well to repeated viewings.

The graphics, style and camera shots are amazing! The cinematography of this movie is great, but it gets very repetitive and therefore boring. The technical aspects of the movie make it really interesting to watch, but the storyline isn't as good.

Excellent, excellent movie. Don't miss out on this, no matter what reservations you may have. I don't know what the description means by "post-MTV", but disregard that and check this unique movie out
