Semi 80s classic. Writer/director Michael Crichton uses a robotic gimmick to tell a cop story about a evil guy(Rock icon Gene Simmons) out to steal new "smart" bullet tech. Bullets able to turn corners, fly omni-directional to hit their target. Simmons also uses robotic spiders with zapping stings & poison needles to kill his victims.Tom Selleck, in his "Magnum" prime here, looks super mustachey and so gay, like a 'Magic Mike' fakecop; about to strip and dance naked for any b-day, bridal party💯

This movie should scare the hell out of you in the 21st Century. Watch the scene where Ramsey has to take out a rogue robot holding a .38 revolver. Now imagine that same armed drone able to fly using today's drone tech. Sheesh.

Better than most s/f special-effects from before to mid 1980's. Story by MC is real fine. TS is always v/grand as usual. Mic PeTe ~ Ririe, Idaho USA
